Exercise MAT
choosing the right mat can be tricky. Be sure to choose one what is cushioned to provide comfort but not too cushioned. Be sure the mat is considered "non slip", mats can slip and slide so be mindful of the kind of mat and flooring it will be on. Here is a link to my personal favorite mat Blanca's favorite mat also, as some of you may be thinking, worried about doing floor exercises? difficulty getting up and down off the floor? well guess what? I will be guiding you through it as a part of our program! Links and images

Adjustable weight set
Just saw the price of an adjustable weight set? i know what your thinking, these weight sets can be sold on let go/ offer up type apps, Facebook marketplace, consignment stores if you're lucky, as well as used gym equipment stores. the boflex one as you see is definitely worth the investment if you do not plan to go to the gym. You may also buy the parts to your own weight set over time. You can buy the handles, and then heavier plates to go on the handles as needed. remember, you can always grab a set of weights at the gym, create a little station for yourself in a corner and prop your phone up and tune in to my program from there if needed, this is a perk of virtual training, you can be anywhere you feel comfortable. one thing i do NOT recommend doing is spending money on 10lb weights or even anything close to it. here is why, household items easily weigh that much. you can easily use gallon jug for example it weighs 8.3lb. Imagine how much more it would weigh if you filled it weight sand??? laundry detergent jugs also very in weight. so you can get creative in the mean time. for smaller weights such as 1-3lb you can easily grab water bottles, or cans. so make sure that if you choose to buy a weight, buy a heavy one, even if you can only do a few reps, its best to have a little challenge now, versus buying a weight that becomes too easy too quickly. what's a reasonable price for weights? if you are spending a dollar a pound on steel, consider yourself lucky! some nicer weights may easily charge $2-3 per lb, especially now because of the increase in demand for at home equipment because of the pandemic. links and images

Tube Bands and pull up loop bands
tube bands are more versatile can the pull up loop bands, although the loop offers a higher resistance, the tube bands should be enough. Be sure that the tube band package you buy has a high enough resistance for you, and comes with the appropriate handles, ankle straps and door anchors. if your set doesn't come with it, you will need to buy the handle, ankle straps and door ankles separately. be sure to understand how to connect the bands to the door properly before using. links and images

closed loop bands, open bands
there are small loop bands, and open bands. i recommend buying both for variety, the small loop bands however, may not be easy to put on for legs that are larger in size or for those limited in mobility. you may want to opt for buying the open bands and simply tying it to create your own loop that best fits you. remember to untie it when finished for the band to last longer. links and images
